Industrial Staircases

Practical yet made with aesthetics in mind, our industrial staircases look just as at home in office or retail environments as in warehouse settings.

When you require durable support to access your mezzanine areas safely, our free-standing stairs are a strong yet flexible option, and they are easily moved along with your mezzanine if required.

Our staircases are fully customisable, with multiple landings or mid-levels to help you maximise floor space practically. We also offer custom handrails for your staircase, so you can choose the materials best suited to your work environment. Choose sturdy and hygienic steel handrails for industrial settings or sleek glass railings for office or retail settings where looks matter. Stair treads can be made of wood, mesh or stainless steel, depending on your aesthetics or practical requirements.

Up and Over Safety Pallet Gates

Up and over safety pallet gates are the safest way to move stock between a mezzanine and the ground floor. This innovative gate is a must-have for safety-conscious companies as it greatly reduces the chance of a fall, with an internal structure to always ensure the gate is closed at either the loading face or floor side.

Pivoting up and over a central point using heavy-duty bearings for seamless operation, these safety pallet gates are constructed using strong steel square hollow sections, so they remain safe and low maintenance for many years to come. These gates also feature a check plate floor protector for the board loading edge to ensure the longevity of the mezzanine floor material.

With opening widths of 1550-2500mm, these pallet gates can be used for single pallet loads but will accommodate taller pallets, too. We can also custom design our up and over safety pallet gates for your specific requirements.

Sliding Gate

Our sliding safety gates facilitate the easy and safe loading of pallets onto the storage area floor. Unlike hinged gates, sliding gates have the advantage of not occupying floor space within the storage area, allowing for more efficient use of space.

An economical choice for mezzanines, our sliding gates are made of galvanised pipe, with a solid round bar handle. The pipe simply slides inside the handrail at either end.

Although our customers generally choose sliding gates for single pallet loads, they can be designed to accommodate wider pallets with widths from 1600mm-2000mm. We also offer custom sizing if needed.

To protect the board loading edge, our sliding safety gates come with a check plate floor protector so you can rest assured your mezzanine flooring stays in top condition.

Heavy Duty Guided Track Gate

Designed for wide loads and smooth operation, our heavy-duty guided track gate ensures both safety and durability. Constructed from robust steel square hollow sections, it features tough, solid wheels that run along a guided track. Additionally, heavy-duty bushes at the top maintain precise alignment, providing extra stability and protection.

With a standard opening width of 2700mm, our heavy-duty guided track gate is best suited for double pallet loads. However, we can design your gate with openings ranging from 1600mm-4000mm, depending on your needs, or even custom create a gate to suit specific applications.

Swing Gate

No room for a sliding gate on your mezzanine? Our swing safety gates allow you to easily access the mezzanine floor storage space for safe handling. These popular mezzanine floor accessories are made from strong steel square hollow sections and feature a latch to keep the gate securely closed when not in use.

Available for single pallet loads accommodating wide pallets or in a double swing gate for the ultimate convenience. Generally, the size of our swing gates ranges from 900mm-1500mm, and we can customise swing gates to suit your operations.

Featuring a check plate floor protector for the board loading edge, our swing safety gate is sure to boost the efficiency and productivity of your business.

Handrails

By law, every mezzanine requires sturdy safety handrails to prevent accidental falls for both people and goods. But that doesn’t mean they can’t look great, too.

AWS offers two panelling types for balustrades and plenty of custom options, including mid-knee rail pipes or mesh infill for public access areas. We can also design the handrail or barrier to any height you desire, provided it meets minimum regulatory requirements.
